‘Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the cloud
Not an app was stirring, the parents so proud;
The iPhones were charging by the bedside with care,
In hopes that Facebook notifications soon would be there;
The Millennials were nestled all snug in their beds;
While visions of Angry Birds danced in their heads;
And mamma in her snuggie, and I Pajama Boy,
Had tried to rid the house of any electronic toy,
When out of the cloud there arose such a clatter,
I grabbed my tablet to see what was the matter.
When what to my wondering news feed did appear,
But a barrage of tweets and selfies, oh dear,
With 4G service so lively and quick,
I knew in a moment it must be a Millennial trick.
More rapid than eagles his Tweets they came,
And he liked, commented, and hashtagged them by name:
“Now, Facebook! now, Twitter! now Skype and Vine!
On, Instagram! on, Pinterest on, Spotify and FaceTime!
To the top of the feed! to the top of the wall!
Now like away! tweet away! text away all!”
