Guest: Steve Wynn

“As a president of the United States he was a misfit. He was a square peg in a round hole. He was the wrong guy for this particular moment in our history. And the reason that Barack Obama was a misfit and had an unsuccessful presidency is because of one word: arrogance. He disconnected himself.”

After many years in the public arena, I’ve learned that the most successful people are often the ones who are able to listen, take advice, and not let ego or arrogance get in the way. One of the reasons that Steve Wynn, Chairman and CEO of Wynn Resorts, has been so successful in business is because he listens closely to his employees and learns from them. He is humble enough to recognize that employees that interact with customers on a day to day basis know more about certain things than the CEO tucked away in his private office. In this segment, Steve applies what he’s learned from business to politics and explains why Pres. Obama’s arrogance and inability to listen or work across party lines ruined his presidency.
