email Email

1.“The Tragedy of American Compassion” by Marvin Olasky. A brilliant history of the welfare state and how we let government services substitute for true compassion.

2. “Drawing Life” by David Gelernter. A Yale computer genius and conservative professor, David Gelernter reflects on modern life and his injury at the hands of the Unabomber.

3. “Amusing Ourselves to Death” by Neil Postman. Postman argues that America’s downfall won’t be at the hands of a “1984” state but a coddling, distraction-filled society.

4. “Sexual Suicide” by George Gilder. The first and still best account of why men and women are not interchangeable.

5. “The Wealth and Poverty of Nations” by David Landes. A large, detailed book of the history of the world and how it works that rebuts many liberal theories of world history.

6. “Hitch-22” by Christopher Hitchens. A brilliant autobiography by an atheist and intellectual that exposes many of the flaws of leftist ideology.
